HOW COME WE NEED TO HELP?

BUT WHY DO WE NEED TO HELP THEM?

Overall, I believe having humanity is such a nice way of showing how appreciative you are of what you have and what you can do to help your community. Many people might say but why do I need to help when they don't help me these are common stereotypes people tend to complain about. However, it's not if they have ever done something for you below are the ways it benefits you!!

  1. Demonstrate many jobs on how you have volunteered in helping your community

  2. Engaged in your community

  3. Helpful

  4. Appreciation

  5. Thoughtful

  • There are more ways in how you can become a great part in helping these people but beyond everything it should come from the heart the desire to help others and the thought of changing someone's life. Together we can make a change in the life's of the homeless.

REASONS WHY WE SHOULD HELP

When walking in the streets what is the first thing you think about when seeing a homeless person???? Think about this very well.........

  • Society, Movies, the news and many more portray homeless people as criminals, and in general bad people, but think about the contributes on what made them homeless it could have been a death in their family, addictions, unemployment and not many are criminals.

  • Us as a community should really be thoughtful on how one day we can be in their shoes at times we are one paycheck away from being homeless which might sound astonishing, but that it the realistic of the circumstances we are in many of us are lucky enough to be living with our parents while other young adults are asking for money to buy a dollar burger. Many homeless people desire a home with food, blankets, water and a place to sleep and acceptance from family members.

  • We help because we are in the place to help by being thoughtful on how that homeless person you just saw did not have the same support system you had growing up, as a thoughtful person you can always exchange words with a homeless person and enlighten their day and even change their way of thinking this is due to the circumstances we grew up with we can implement them into another human being.

  • Have you ever felt good about doing something??????

    - Main reason why it is good to help homelessness is because when we do something good, we feel good about our self's,

    - We tend to appreciate life when we see stuff and do good habits to help others.

"We feel so good when we give because we get what researchers call a “helpers high,” or a distinct physical sensation associated with helping. About half of participants in one study report that they feel stronger and more energetic after helping others; many also reported feeling calmer and less depressed, with increased feelings of self-worth."

HELPING THE POOR WILL BENEFIT YOU BY SEEING THE WORLD WITH A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE

Being homeless is not a choice people make it can happen to anyone who struggles addictions, unemployment, issues at home and more however, having a great heart and if you are aware of what is happening to other people you can always help. You can always understand that they are human beings just like us. Some people might lack in education, and you can be the start of that. You can help and educate many others on the importance of their mental health, financial problems and more. That young girl who might have ended up pregnant might have not had the same support and education you grew up with. That veteran that is suffering from PTSD can need your help in seeking a therapist, have humanity, that can be you, a family member, friend, teacher make a change we can all do it you don't lose anything by trying!!

ALWAYS PUT YOURSELF IN SOMEONES ELSES SHOES

Hello, Paloma! I agree, we should help out our homeless community. Many people who are homeless may have jobs that don't pay well or suffer from a condition that prevents them from working. Great Post.
